In which we go get food, watch some movie about airplanes, and engage in general shenanigans! Spring 2014Whether your midterms are nothing but memories or yet to come, everyone needs a break. With SFSU’s spring break coming up, we’ll be taking a field trip of sorts to San Francisco’s Japantown for a final hangout before the upcoming spring break begins. Curious about the options we’ll have this coming Friday, March 14, 2014 night?

The Wind Rises, among other films!
The Sundance Kabuki Theater is showing Hayao Miyazaki’s supposed “final” film “The Wind Rises” at multiple times throughout the evening. Do note however, the dubbed showings past 4:45PM are for people of the ages 21 and up only, if you’re into that. Ticket prices are $12 in addition to a $2 amenity fee as this theater decided they can’t trust you to not destroy the theater. Don’t want to see the movie, or just on a budget? Worry not, as there’s plenty still plenty to do!

Go get some good food!
Legend has it that the surrounding area has some great restaurants and cafes. Hopefully your wallet is ready… If not, there’s always a burger king down the street to go to!

Check out cool shops!
Whether you want to buy imported light novels or even a kotatsu for your dorm room, the the stores in the mall have quite the varied inventories!. You’d be surprised at what you can find if you look around for a minute.

Event Officially Starts: 5:00 PM
End Time: Whenever you decide to go home
Location: Meet at Japantown Peace Pagoda
